Stutzle is fine- I think being put with Stepan has an impact on his stats. Also, his defensive/situational awareness are not NHL level yet. Once that comes, I think his underlying stats will start to turn positive. You can see the same thing with Norris' game. There's a maturation that still needs to happen.

Chabot is our MVP and that game should be shown to anyone who doesn't believe

I wonder if Stutzle’s underlying numbers are due to playing with Stepan? You’d think he’d bring down anybody? Anyone have a w/wo chart?

I am enjoying the games. The season is unfolding exactly as it should.

It appears that the NHL is finding it far too complicated to defer the draft for a year and the draft will proceed before the 2021-22 season begins.

The Devils are starting to show some of the promise of a team that has had the patience to give the kids the ice time and allow them to grow their game in live time.

Some put too much emphasis on the won/lost record. I find the games are more fun when you watch them on a shift by shift basis.

I like this team a lot.

North Dakota Sens won twice this weekend. Pinto, JBD, Sanderson and Kleven were all over the score sheet.

Stuetzle has high end talent and elite speed. He plays the game with his feet and not his head. I find that his game is pretty individual not much of a team game. He generates most of his scoring opportunities with his speed and right now he's having a lot success scoring in low percentage situations. The question is can he shoot the puck that well or is he just having puck luck. He seems to be trending towards becoming a very good transition player. Right now I think it's more important to have the right fit on D to get the puck to him so he can transition through the N zone.

Interesting to note how good Stutzle looks when someone hits him with a sharp break out pass.

Tragic career story.

is there a limitation on what San Jose can do in terms of managing a buy out?

Wow.

$54,333,333 accumulative cost to buy him out at next window.

From a San Jose web site:

"With six more seasons left on his $11.5 million a year deal after this year, including a no-movement clause, Karlsson’s contract isn’t just buyout-proof, its buyout-repellant."

Special K will bounce back next year. After all he has been through. Its not surprising his #s are frightfull. Unless he has lost his passion?

Meanwhile were still losing and looking for new adjectives to make it seem acceptable... what is it 4th year now?

he seemed like he was on pace to be sure fire, first ballot, HOF player.......if he keeps falling the way he has, it's going to be incredibly debatable if he's ever even really considered.

one of the biggest/fastest falls from grace i can remember ever seeing for an elite player in the NHL

i think injuries are just finally catching up to him. he was great because he was always the best skater on the ice. almost all of his injuries have directly impacted his ability to skate, and it's very obvious that he doesn't skate nearly as well and fast as he used to.

i hate to see it, i still love the guy

So much to like about this team.

Montreal does not look like a very good team.

Thought Norris looked real solid tonight.

But, nobody wants to see the Sens make a habit of winning.

so i feel like tomorrow's practice should just be 2 straight hours of breakaway practice.....i think the Sens had like 6 clear breakaways in this game, and missed on every single one.

Zaitsev has been a great surprise. He was basically another Ceci and I never understood that trade (for length x cap hit). This season it's starting to make sense. I hope it's not a fluke.
